Jimmie Lynn Parkes was born on January 31, 1943 in Lansing, Michigan and passed away on May 2, 2023 in Warren, Michigan at the age of 80. Jimmie was the beloved husband of the late Sharon Parkes. Together, they have 4 children, Kimberly Counterman, Kristina Parkes, Craig Parkes, Kelly Parkes, and daughter in law Shaton Parkes. He was the proud grandfather of 8, Jessica, Michael, Justin, Brittany, Shelby, Kyle, Matthew and Caleb. Treasured great-grandfather of Kaylee, Aubrie, Carlos, Addison, Saygen, Eben, Sophia, Alexander, Isabella and Alivia. Loving brother of Bob (Mary) Prevo, Gary (Bonnie) Norris, Joe (Julie) Prevo, and Robin (Norman) Thomas. He is preceded in death by his brother Tom (Nancy) Parkes.
Jimmie will be dearly loved, missed and remembered by those who knew him. A caring cremation was entrusted to Walter Scott Skupny Funeral Home.
