Ava Maria Williams

Ava Maria Williams, age 61 of Detroit, Michigan, passed away on December 31, 2022.

Ava is survived by her husband of 32 years, her only son, her mother, 9 siblings and is remembered by her large extended network of family, their families & friends. She is predeceased by her father and known brothers.

Ava was born in Detroit on June 3, 1961, to her mother and father. She graduated from East Catholic High School. She completed her advanced education up to the Master's degree level. Ava worked several different jobs and occupations. Professionally and personally she was passionate about Childcare (both pre and post natal) and Commercial Office Management. Her most memorable job and continually rewarding acknowledgement was seeing every child, whose direct care she was responsible for, flourish into caring and empathetic adults. Those who utilize any & all resources for the advancement of their loved ones & family, who are their constant priority.

Ava was enthusiastic about books, history, music, film, radio, and cinematically presented & well read books on tape. She was ever present in the lives & direction of her tightly bonded & concentrated immediate family. Ava never tired or passed on the chance to be present for assistance in family's care or share detailed information about opportunities & available professional avenues when asked. Her mother's current care & health plan was a direct beneficiary of all her energy.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on the same day as the service on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 11:00am – 12:00pm, with the Celebration of Life Memorial service to immediately follow at 12:00pm. A luncheon will be held shortly after. Family & friends are encouraged to write down any & all of their favorite memories to share during the service or to add to a dynamic digital memorial.

There will be an RSVP form available at the time of this posting. Family & friends are encouraged to complete this short form ASAP (by Tuesday, January 10, 2022) to aid in arrangements. After the service any & all flower arrangements will be available to present attendees to keep & take home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a college fund supporting Ava’s niece, Bailey P.
